Over the course of the past few months, Delta County has offered several Land Use Regulations Community Forums, in Hotchkiss, Cedaredge, Paonia, and Delta, as a means to educate the community at large around the notion of Land Use Regulations, and what that could mean for Delta County and its residents.
We have had an opportunity to hear from the experts in planning, hear from our neighbors in Montrose, Grand Junction, and Rifle, and hear from constituents with varying opinions on the process. We have been pleased to see such a wide range of demographics represented in the meetings, giving voice to many in the community who wouldn't otherwise be represented.
If you were unable to attend one of the Land Use Regulations Community Forums, there are several podcasts that can bring you up to speed on the topics that were covered; you can find them at https://www.deltacountyplan.com/podcast.
As we move through the Land Use Regulations update process, we will be coming back out to Delta County residents with a proposed plan, and ask that you attend one of the meetings to review the plan, and provide your input. Be on the lookout for meeting dates, times and locations; we will push that information out in the next few weeks.
