About The Event

Curious about land use regulations? Want to learn more? Before we really dig into updating Delta County’s land use regulations, we want to talk a little bit about HOW we are EVER going to get through this difficult process and discussion! Please join us Thursday, April 4th from 5:30-7:00 at Paonia Town Hall, to explore strategies that will help Delta County work together. We are a county of diverse opinions, cultures, and landscapes; how do we balance private property rights and community goals? How do we better engage our youth, Hispanic community, and those that are too busy to come to meetings? We will explore ideas to help us prepare for the challenging conversation, and better engage a broader portion of our community. The City of Montrose will be part of a panel and will share their experiences and outcomes from tackling the issue of “working better together” and the outcomes they are seeing from their efforts. A panel of elected officials will then tackle some tough questions, and all participants will have an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue.
